We are seeking a Dental Assistant to join our beautiful, state of the art general dental practice in Overland Park, KS! Our ideal candidate is a go-getter and self-starter who enjoys working with others, is patient care focused and has great customer service skills!

This full-time position will work:
- Mondays 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
- Tuesdays 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
- Wednesdays 7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
- Thursdays - OFF
- Fridays 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
- NO Evenings or weekends!

Responsibilities:
- Provide a welcoming, soothing and customer service focused experience for patients.
- Prepare patients for treatment or checkups ensuring their comfort.
- Take diagnostic x-rays using standard dental radiographic equipment.
- Assist the Dentist with a high level of partnership through four handed dentistry.
- Arrive prepared for each day and review patient charts for morning huddle.
- Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures when needed.
- Verify patient health history (basic health review, medications, understanding impact with dentistry) and document appropriately in patient’s chart.
- Manage lab cases and schedule patients as needed.
- Assist with other office duties as requested or needed.
Skills:
- Proven experience as Dental Assistant or background in Customer Service
- Open to cross training to support our teamwork focused office approach.
- Effective time management skills and able to support a steady flow in Dr's schedule.
- Able to be flexible and multi-task to meet the needs of a busy schedule.
- Must have outstanding communication and customer service skills.
- Welcoming and patient personality with an ability to build rapport with others easily.
- Great attention to detail and follow through.
- Dental terminology knowledge and ability to educate patients regarding procedures.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
