Job Description
We are currently seeking a QA Technician for our manufacturing facility in Saratoga Springs, NY
Compensation: $28.87 / hour
50 cent increases after 90 and 180 days upon successful review
Shift differential for applicable hours worked
Schedule: Monday - Thursday 5:00 - 5:00, Night and Day shift available, Full-Time
Schedule will change to a 3-4 rotation as demand increases

Key Responsibilities Include:
Perform tests to analyze water samples, including pH, conductivity, turbidity, alkalinity, hardness, and temperature
Online inspection, sanitation, and cleaning activities
Use various types of test equipment in both production and laboratory settings
Communicate with production technicians and leaders to troubleshoot (problem solve or resolve) quality issues
Verify quality checks for line operators as part of the Release Program
Support sanitation activities, line start-ups, and factory projects
Manage items requiring quality hold including non-conforming goods
Support QMS, HACCP, GMP, ICP, micro, sensory, and Release Programs. This may include sample collection, sample analysis, and monitoring of incoming raw materials
Ability to manage documentation and organize information for auditing
Development of SOPs and standards related to food safety and quality
Utilize problem solving tools to support continuous improvement
Qualifications
College level education desired, relevant pursuit of study in a related area a plus
Prior experience performing basic laboratory procedures
Exposure to Quality Assurance or Production in a food or beverage processing facility is preferred but not required
Ability to work self-directed and with a team
Solid communication and interpersonal skills with experience working in a team-based environment
Experience with sanitation and microbiological control systems
Familiarity with food safety and food defense requirements, audit and regulatory environments, microbiological testing, MI and other manufacturing control systems
Ability to interact with various internal contacts to manage the flow of work
Exposure to Fluid processing and the principles of sanitation science
Understanding of good manufacturing practices and HACCP principles is necessary
Computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft applications, SAP experience a plus
Focus on safe work practices and high quality while executing duties with a sense of urgency
Ability to troubleshoot and make independent decisions related to quality and operation excellence
Ability to move/lift 50 lbs and stand on your feet for long periods of time throughout the day
