Job Description
Our amazing Quality Assurance Team at BlueTriton Brands is currently seeking a Talented Water Process Technician to join them for our Poland Spring, ME facility.
Pay Rate: $29.00
Retention Bonus: $2000 annual bonus, paid out on quarterly basis
Schedule: Monday – Friday – day shift
JOB SUMMARY:
The Water Process Technician is responsible for oversight of incoming water. This includes management of onsite source water, incoming tankered water, municipal water, and all water processing equipment including offload stations, UVs, silos, filters, resin vessels, and carbon vessels. The Water Process Tech is responsible for monitoring analytical parameters of incoming water as well as the sanitation of water processing equipment.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES (not all-inclusive)
•Manage water processing up to the main flow distribution panel including SCADA operation
•Plan and execute monthly process equipment CIPs
•Perform tanker CIPs
•Perform line CIPs and external cleanings as needed (back-up line CIP Technician)
•Coordinate with Natural Resources group to ensure correct amount of source water is drawn each month
•Conduct analytical tests of process and source water including pH, turbidity, conductivity, Mn, and Fe
•Monitor municipal water and purified water quality including residual chlorine, conductivity, pH, and turbidity
•Comply with verification and calibration requirements (ICP), record-keeping practices, and good manufacturing practices (GMPs)
•Recognize and mitigate food safety risks that are present in water processing
•Conduct hygiene audits of the factory as required
•Perform QA Technician duties
•Understand chemical hazards and SDSs
•Oversight and maintenance of carbon filtration system
•Monitor source security system and perform incident investigation
•Read, review, and compose job-related Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
•Coordinate with outside contractors and arrange services as needed
•Other duties as required
Qualifications
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
•A minimum of three years of experience in a food or beverage processing operation preferably with knowledge of CIP operations
•Prior experience performing basic laboratory procedures
•Must be able to practice good time-management
•Ability to work self-directed and independently is a must
•Solid communication skills across departments with experience working in a team-based environment
•Exposure to the principles of sanitation science
•Understands good manufacturing practices and food safety principles
•Strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft applications
•Focus on safe work practices
•Experience working with SCADA operations
•Strong organizational, data analysis, and record keeping skills as well as acute attention to detail
•Ability to problem-solve and make decisions independently using various problem-solving tools
•Flexibility and the desire to work in a fast-paced factory environment
•Ability to lift/move 50 lbs and stand on your feet for long periods of time throughout the day
