About The Role
The Design Engineer I supports the Engineering team with design and drafting for solar and energy storage projects from 1 MW -250MW.

About The Role
The Design Engineer I supports the Engineering team with design and drafting for solar and energy storage projects from 1 MW -250MW.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with Development Engineers and senior designers to produce preliminary AutoCAD layouts and design packages
- Work independently and with a team to meet established deadlines
- Generate drawings that are in line with company drawing standards and templates.
- Follow quality control procedures for completeness, accuracy and code compliance.
- Be proactive when communicating with the team
- Generate Bill of Materials from CAD drawings
- Provide Civil & Electrical construction details for PV, BESS systems
- Generate energy models
- Perform site optimized layouts
- Other duties for which you are qualified
- 4 year degree in Electrical or Environmental Engineering or equivalent
- 1 years of drafting/design or support experience in the solar PV or renewable industry
- Familiarity with solar PV designs and layout considerations
- Basic understanding of electrical plans, diagrams and terminology
- Superb problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Willingness to learn and grow technically
- Detail oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with MS Office applications
- Proficiency in AutoCad
