BMG Bakery is looking for a Production Manager that brings years of experience in running a 100 employee team. You would be working close with the VP and other department managers to ensure the products we make are being produced correctly and efficiently each day. Each day is a different set of challenges as the donut industry is "dynamic". This is a physical job, as we believe our management team needs to lead from the front. You will get flour, icing, and dough on you close to every day. We are a true JIT operation. We also all work closely with entry level manufacturing employees. Practical knowledge is a must, being strategically minded is necessary for where the company is going.
Here are the details:
The Production Manager coordinates with other management level department heads (Sanitation, Maintenance, Transportation, Administration) and oversees the donut bakery production operations. This role exemplifies the company’s values and strives for success through the company’s vision and mission.
This role will ensure their team completes all assigned duties and assists other department managers to accomplish their assigned duties.
This role is expected to lead through interaction on the production floor and plan the departments future success in the office. A mindful balance between the two are key to a successful tenure.
Scope:
· Team size: 3 Supervisors, 8 leads, 80-100 team members
· Facility size: 65,000 sqft
· Number of production lines: 5 (mixed manufacturers)

Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree; in lieu of a degree, 4 years of recent production manager experience is acceptable
· Experience with Manufacturing plants
· Ability to pass pre employment background and drug screen
· Strong computer literacy
Responsibilities:
· Manages/responsible for labor costs and other department costs to meet budget
· Manages progressive discipline with supervisors
· Manages the production processes to fit Dunkin’ standards and facility constraints
· Trains team to follow food safety standards and facility safety standards
· Maintains KPI data and ensures accurate reporting
· Approves purchase orders for department expenses (except ingredient and machine costs)
· Trains and evaluates Production Supervisors on procedures
· Collaborate with other departments (Maintenance, Transportation, Sanitation, Admin)
· Work with continuous improvement leader and execute C.I. initiatives
· Participates in interviewing, selecting, trains, and terminates team members
Additional secondary responsibilities:
· Manages the ordering system (Jera)
· Produces Data for down time, people, and financial metrics
· Develops food safety program in coordination with other management team members
· Maintains relationships with Dunkin’ representatives and teams
· Collects and produces presentations used in internal meetings

Schedule
Minimum 45 hour work week, typically work hours are scheduled on their own unless VP directs hours otherwise.
A broad expectation is to have those work hours fall in between Production hours (10am-10pm). The Production Manager is expected to work per their departments' needs.
