We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Copy Writer to join our Wealth Management Solutions Marketing team. This role is in mid-town New York City, NY with a hybrid work arrangement, at this time.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- Developing short headlines, advertising copy/scripts and online content for digital channels, including the public site, search, paid digital display ads and social media.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues and business partners to create impactful and pithy copy to drive commercial business outcomes.
- Own the language to describe wealth management (e.g. ‘About Us’ section of public site, BNYM WM capabilities brochure, event invitations, etc.)
- Bring the BNYM Wealth Management value proposition – ‘Active Wealth’ – to life, often using a few short words, taglines and/or phrases.
- Be adept at testing and learning new delivery formats, channels and styles to drive engagement – including A-B testing for headlines and search copy.
- Analyze the competitive landscape and identify opportunities to differentiate the firm’s messaging and our solutions offering.
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 10 years’ experience, preferably agency and/or wealth management related.
- Agency experience with short form copy and testing is a significant plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Adobe.
- Attention to detail with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively to a broad spectrum of audiences; strong verbal, written and overall communications skills.

BNY Mellon assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $73,100 and $120,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNYM total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Salary : $73,100 - $120,000
