Leads sessions on the design and development of product marketing strategies for multiple relatively complex global products that are high impact and high profile. Provides guidance to cross-functional teams including Development and Marketing. Uses broad understanding of the product, any design or development considerations, the marketing environment, and the marketing strategy to provide valued input. Serves as a subject matter expert in a particular product area and provides guidance on product competitors, consumer trends, and market status. Is primary point of contact for clients. Develops product positioning and branding. Responsible for championing products internally and externally. Contributes to the achievement of area objectives.

Qualifications

The Bank of New York Mellon seeks a Principal Product Manager in Jersey City, NJ, to coordinate and provide guidance on product development and marketing processes for multiple relatively complex global products that are high impact and high profile. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field and ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or a related occupation: developing and analyzing product positioning and branding; conducting business requirement analysis to develop technology products and features; owning, prioritizing, and communicating the short, medium, and long-term release plan of the team; interfacing with product and engineering teams to understand requirements and priorities;  facilitating adoption of new infrastructure support and systems; coordinating communication of progress/status to internal and external stakeholders; and supporting operations, compliance, and customer experience teams in technical questions.
