We’re seeking a solutions vice president for a role within Growth Ventures supporting execution for a new software and data-driven business that is addressing one of the fastest growing, yet most challenging, areas within financial services. This role is located in Tribeca, NYC (hybrid).
In this role, you will be a key member of a small entrepreneurial team, developing and executing key strategic decisions that will help shape this new business. This spans strategic analysis and recommendations across all facets of the business, internal stakeholder engagement and organizational leadership, and external client and partner engagement.
Specific responsibilities may include:
- Strategic analysis: Leading, independently and with a small team, research and analysis to support key business decisions. These decisions may include target market definition, pricing strategy, product development and feature analysis, business structuring, and buy-build-partner decisions.
- Execution leadership: Guide product, operations, and technology teams in developing and delivering the solution(s) in an agile and accelerated manner. Act as a point of leadership in informing the vision of key features based on your knowledge of the market and direct interactions with clients and other stakeholders, guide development of client journeys and execution plans, and ensure coordination across parallel teams.
- Stakeholder and market engagement: Act as a senior representative of the Bank and this new offering when engaging with key stakeholders, including internal partners, clients, and industry bodies. Help develop our broad go-to-market strategy that spans brand-building to client development.
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- Individual should have at least 7 years of experience in sales/business development roles
- Experience in the wealth segment, particularly with RIAs and independent broker dealers, is a must
- Experience in private markets and alternatives is a plus
- Experience in a start-up or other entrepreneurial environment in a plus
- Being entrepreneurial and self-directed – operate as an owner
- Being ambitious and driven to deliver market-changing innovations in an accelerated timeline
- Being growth oriented yet pragmatic, able to balance a compelling vision with execution

BNY Mellon assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $160,000 and $200,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNYM total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
