Job Description:
Exciting things are happening at Boart Longyear! We are growing and need to hire a new Scrum Master. As part of our Geological Data Services (GDS) team, this role is key in delivering projects and applications with groundbreaking software in GDS.
This position requires an experienced Agile project delivery skillset as well as waterfall project management and governance. This person will also manage our Atlassian instance including Jira, Confluence, and Service Management.
This salaried role will working hours that will exceed 40 hrs/week and is suited to an experienced cloud solutions engineer.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- 10 years’ experience in project delivery
- 5 years’ experience as a scrum master
- Certification in Prince ll or PMI
- Presentation Skills
Position Responsibilities:
- Reviews the quality and estimates for user stories in the development backlog.
- Facilitate daily standup meetings and weekly updates for key stakeholders
- Validates that development outcomes line up with user stories
- Ensures appropriate resources are available to perform project tasks
- Tracks and reports on project costs
- Updates on project progress against agreed targets and milestones
- Manages the Jira platform on behalf of BLY
- Provides reporting on delivery efficiency
- Provides mentoring on agile methodology
