Pay: $20-$23/hr
Schedule: Traveling across different states. Could have 10 days working with 5 days off types.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide semi-skilled, labor intensive, assistance to the driller for UG RC drilling with tasks including, but not limited to:
Maintain a focus on Safety with a positive attitude and willingness to operate in a team setting;
Assistance in equipment and tooling preparation during rig moves;
Hauling supplies to and from the drill site;
Collection of high-quality samples (bulk and chips) for visual and chemical analysis;
Mixing drilling fluids; and
Adding and removing drill rods and tooling from the drill string.
The candidate will also be responsible for maintaining and preserving (minimizing unnecessary wear and tear) of all site equipment and tools. You will be responsible for keeping sample trays and sample bags in numerical order according to drill depth. Also, at times, you may be responsible for the training of new driller assistants in a safe environment.
Education and Experience:
Typically requires a high school diploma, GED or equivalent.
Qualifications:
Pass a drug screen, background check, physical and functional agility test and pulmonary function test;
Possess a valid driver’s license;
Have a good driving record;
Be able to lift 100 pounds repetitively;
Be able to work at suspended heights;
Be willing to work remotely for 14 to 20 days at a time; and
Be willing and able to work long hours (up to12-14 hours per shift).
