Hours: 12:00 am - 8:30 am, Monday-Friday with Rotational Saturday
Wage: Starts at a base of $18.00/Hr
- Additional $2.00/Hr shift differential

Position Overview: The Miller is responsible for assisting with set up and operating milling machinery including but not limited to grain cleaning equipment, milling machines, mixing machines and toting machines. Operates forklift within all areas of the facility.
Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
- Assists with setting up and operating milling machinery.
- Assists with running milling lines, stone mills, hanging totes and creating mixes.
- Accurately maintains daily production logs that are legible, neat, and orderly.
- Monitors quality control throughout entire milling process.
- Assists with identifying faulty equipment and notifying lead or supervisor.
- Complies with all company policies and procedures and operates all equipment in a safe and food-safe manner.
- Complies with Bob’s Red Mill food safety policies and procedures including adherence to FDA regulations, Safe Quality Food (SQF) Standards, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Responsible for reporting food safety and quality concerns to Supervisors and/or Department Manager.
- Performs other duties and tasks as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to perform basic mathematical functions including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Possesses good communication skills both written and orally.
- Proficiency with basic hand tools for machine set up and operation.
- Ability to work well individually and as a member of a team.
- Demonstrates Respect, Teamwork, Accountability, and Determination.
- Ability to work in an environment where exposure to potential food allergens is or may be present.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in the food packaging industry, graining milling and/or experience as a forklift operator, machine operator or similar duties preferred.
Physical Demands:
- Frequently requires the ability to lift and stack products weighing up to 55 pounds.
- Position does require standing for long periods of time.
- Position requires the ability to work at a fast pace in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
Work Environment:
- Weekends are required.
- The primary work environment for this position is within the production department. There are no adverse conditions associated with this position.
- Use of personal protective equipment such as ear plugs, safety glasses and hairnets are mandatory and use of non-slip shoes is recommended.
- Employees will be exposed to common food allergens.
