Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cut meat products according to customer specifications
- Trim excess fat, skin, or gristle from meat cuts
- Portion and package meat products for display or storage
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the cutting area
- Follow proper food handling and safety procedures
- Assist customers with selecting appropriate cuts of meat and provide excellent customer service
- Monitor inventory levels and report any shortages or discrepancies
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient operations in the kitchen
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Meat Cutter or similar role in a restaurant or food production environment
- Strong knowledge of different cuts of meat and their uses
- Proficient knife skills and ability to handle sharp objects safely
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
