Summary:
As a member of the leadership team, you will report directly to the General Manager and be responsible for the maintenance functions of our Berlin, CT plant. Must possess the ability to manage multiple projects and meet various deadlines in a busy industrial environment. Participate as a business partner to the plant giving guidance and direction to the plant management team with relation to maintenance.
Major Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all general maintenance duties including painting, cleaning, fixture/tooling fabrication, installing belts, bearings, chains, etc.
- Responsible for maintaining plant equipment, including preventative maintenance and new equipment installation.
- Monitor, reinforce, and oversee the health, safety, and environmental performance of the department and employees.
- Supervise and direct all maintenance department employees including discipline and reviews.
We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications:
- This position must satisfy ITAR compliance requirements, therefore candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Resident Card Holders.
- Education – College or technical degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance preferred; high school or equivalent plus 5 years industrial maintenance experience required.
- Must have advanced training in electrical experience.
- Must have experience with welding, cutting, brazing, etc., and working knowledge of electricity.
- Must have general knowledge of hydraulics and furnaces and be able to read and interpret blueprints.
- May be required to work overtime or any shift, including weekends, and be on call as needed.
