The Boeing Company Mobility Surveillance and Bombers (MS&B) team is looking for Lead Structures Design Engineers to join our team in Tukwila, WA.

Position Responsibilities:

• Lead, develop, integrate and document structural and interior payload system requirements to establish the system design

• Lead, develop, maintain and modify structural and interior payload system and component designs, using 3-D Computer Aided Design tools and/or other design methods, to provide product definition to other engineering groups, production operations, suppliers and external customers throughout the product lifecycle

• Lead performance, integration and analysis of tests to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications

• Manage supplier development, test and production activities and coordinates with the supplier to optimize the design and achieve program goals

• Assist with investigation of emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements

• Work under minimal direction

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required.  “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

• 5 or more years of experience as a Structural Design Engineer

• 5 or more years of CATIA V5 experience do you have

• Basic understanding of structural engineering fundamentals including airframe/component design and materials

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• 3 or more years of experience as a team lead

• Experience leading teams by providing Advise, Assist and Check oversight for design engineering statement of work

Typical Education/Experience: 

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD 4 years' related work experience, Master 7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary pay range: 120,700 – 163,300
