Boeing Test & Evaluation is seeking a Associate Manufacturing Planner to support Structures Lab in Tukwila, WA. A successful candidate in this role will have passion, creativity, and an insatiable desire for process improvement and efficiency. The Manufacturing Planner is an assembly and installation engineer within Boeing Test and Evaluation (BT&E) that supports fabrication planning and installation by providing design review, manufacturing plan authorship, fabrication sourcing (inside and outside of Boeing), interface with procurement (including tracking), and support in the lab during the build/installation. The primary focus of this position is the support of the Systems lab test design & fabrication efforts located in Tukwila, WA. These efforts represent a wide variety of research and production programs primary in support of Boeing Commercial airplanes (BCA) and Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) programs.
Manufacturing Planners are supporters of the build plan and ensure compliance to design configuration, build plan, and process requirements, Manufacturing Planning helps develop an integrated build plan consisting of work instructions for assembly/fabrication, kitting, tooling, inspection requirements, and other outputs to endure fabrication meets design, test, and program requirements.
Position Responsibilities:
Plans and uses department/organization processes for developing, implementing and maintaining various manufacturing plans, Bill of Materials, work instructions and illustrations to define and document as-built configuration
Assists with producibility assessments for part or product designs
Assists in providing input to design, manufacturing processes and manufacturing technologies to meet cost and schedules
Develops and plans manufacturing concepts and strategies to support business objectives
Drafts, updates and reviews processes and procedures to support business and regulatory agency requirements
Work with, test Project Management, Design Engineering, and Program IE to develop and maintain integrated build plan
Close coordination with Design engineers and fabrication personnel, Lead coordination with procurement/supplier management personnel across the lab test organization
Develops and documents new job practices, techniques and standards
Redline Drawing change reviews
Prioritize and Release work orders and provide limited dwg packages to shop
Communicate with SCMAs, the expeditor, and the shop personnel for work order releases and part changes
Process NCRs and generate rework orders
Create and maintain procurement plans
Works under general supervision
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.
The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Associate’s Degree or higher, a Technical certificate or degree, or 1 or more years of equivalent technical experience
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
1 years of experience working in a production and/or manufacturing environment
1 years of experience working in a composite manufacturing environment
Experience with PDM, CAPP, CMES, MESci, EPARTs, GOLD
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor, 3 years' related work experience, etc.).

Summary pay range: $60,350 - $81,650
