The Boeing Systems Integration teams are seeking Mid-Level or Senior Systems Engineers to join the 777X program in Everett, Washington . The candidate engineer will work with a dynamic and diverse Systems Integration team that supports the design, configuration, production, certification, and delivery of Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA). In addition, the Systems Integration team supports the entire Boeing Commercial Airplane fleet in service, supporting resolution to fleet and safety issues, customer commitments, and overall airplane system product strategy.
The successful candidate may work with Change Incorporation and Refurbishment (CI&R) or factory/production supporting teams. Successful candidates will have a desire to work in a fast-paced environment, solve complex problems, present information to executive leadership, and build and execute integrated project plans.
Primary Responsibilities:
Supports cross-functional teams through the development and integration of large-scale multi-system projects.
Partners with appropriate stakeholders to ensure understanding across the systems engineering teams for certification and airplane level integration.
Resolves cross-functional technical issues
Collaborate with multiple airplane systems including Environmental Controls, Mechanical Hydraulics, Flight Controls, Electrical Sub-Systems, Electrical Design, Flight Deck, Cabin Systems, and Avionics Systems, and will lead these teams through a variety of complex projects.
Implements systems engineering best practices, and process improvements
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
Bachelor's Degree or higher from an ABET accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
2 years of experience working with cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience supporting production and factory
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams at multiple organizational levels in dynamic, fast-paced environment
Critical thinking skills; ability to work in agile, flexible team environment
Typical Education/Experience:
Mid-level (Level 3): Bachelor's degree and typically 5 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with typically 3 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with experience in an engineering classification. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Senior (Level 4): Bachelor's degree and typically 9 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with typically 7 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with typically 4 or more years' experience in an engineering classification. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
