The Boeing Company is looking for a Systems Integration Leader for the 787 Program.
This leader will be responsible for leading execution of Systems projects to meet safety, regulatory, production, and customer commitments on the 787. To accomplish this, the leader will be responsible for coordinating resources and priorities across teams and projects, including integrating and leading efforts out of the Airplane Systems Design Center, and across partners and suppliers. Finally, the leader will provide technical management, oversight, and guidance, while leading process improvements to strengthen systems engineering competencies across the team. This position is located in Everett, Washington.
Position Responsibilities:
Lead the 787 Systems Integration team, responsible for change integration, customer introduction, certification, production support, delivery support, and in-service fleet support for Airplane Systems Engineering, while ensuring first pass quality of all deliverables
Develop and integrate 787 systems product roadmap
Oversee and integrate design center activity in support of the program
Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, suppliers, and regulators
Deploy and ensure alignment with Systems functional excellence processes
Develop and deploy methods to enhance systems engineering V&V capabilities across the 787 Systems organization
Ensure all 787 Systems projects meet all safety, regulatory, and technical performance requirements
Build a culture of transparency and proactive technical oversight across all teams and activities
Build and staff engineering team to ensure execution and technical integrity of products
Manage, develop, and motivate employees
The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering
Minimum 1 years of Engineering management experience
Minimum 3 years of Engineering leadership experience
Experience leading through influence and partnering with cross-functional teams on projects and initiatives
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience leading and deploying project management processes on engineering projects
Systems Engineering V&V and Development Assurance leadership experience
Experience managing engineering managers
Systems functional excellence experience
Experience working with and managing suppliers
