Purpose & Summary:
To provide patron satisfaction in our restaurant that revolves around preparing food for recipe execution, appearance, and quality of food to lead to an overall great dining experience for the patrons.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner
- Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by BP’s gold standard
- Has understanding and knowledge of how to properly use and maintain all equipment in the station
- Responsible for maintaining all equipment machines to prepare food including powering on and off at the beginning and close of the restaurant
- Clean food preparation areas, cooking surfaces, and utensils
- Verify that prepared food meets BP requirements for quality
- Maintain personal health and sanitation standards
- Must be knowledgeable of all safety codes per BP's guidelines
- Ensure compliance with BP’s code of ethics, integrity and conduct
Minimum Qualifications:
- 1 year of experience working in a restaurant environment, preferably as a cook
- Friendly attitude with excellent customer service skills
- Able to multitask and work in a team environment
- Must be proficient in computer knowledge including MS Office Suite products
- High School diploma preferred
- All candidates are subject to a background check and employment verification process
Physical demands:
- Ability to continuously stand or walk
- Ability to bend and lift occasionally
- Ability to lift up to 10 pounds occasionally
Work environment:
- Work will be conducted in a restaurant environment
- May encounter temperatures ranging from 32 degrees to 425 degrees around equipment in the kitchen if needed to enter that area
- May occasionally walk on slippery surfaces
- Noise level in the work environment is occasionally loud
