Responsibilities
- Utilize culinary expertise and extensive knowledge of various cuisines to create exceptional dishes.
- Read menus, understand ingredients, and effectively plan cooking and assembly timelines.
- Adhere to safety guidelines when holding and storing food.
- Efficiently order ingredients for assembly, firing, and distribution.
- Maintain a professional appearance in uniform and equipped with necessary tools.
- Ensure quality by tasting all items before packing and serving.
- Engage with staff and guests in intelligent conversations about the food being served.
- Demonstrate culinary techniques to achieve desired goals.
- Take pride in delivering high-quality food during events.
- Administer event operations, including thorough understanding of documentation and procedures.
- Conduct detailed event walkthroughs before each shift.
- Review BEOs for potential issues and cross-check against lists.
- Complete comprehensive event reports with consistent feedback.
- Comprehend and fulfill responsibilities for operating and managing vehicles.
- Follow road and company driving rules at all times.
- Maintain a valid driver's license in good standing.
- Document employee and guest incidents, as well as medical reports for corporate.
- Possess up-to-date ServSafe certification.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
2 years of experience in high volume kitchen - events/catering preferred
A team player with excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor
Physical Requirements
Constant standing and walking
Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for the length of the shift
Frequent, continual, intermittent flexing and rotation of the spine, elbows and wrists
Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs on a regular and continuing basis
Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting or carrying up to 75 lbs
Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment
