**DIRECTOR OF IMAGING** **| SOUTHSIDE REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER**

The Director of Imaging is responsible for providing strategic leadership in the planning, development and organization of the Imaging Services Program within acute care hospitals and freestanding imaging center at its respective geographic areas. This strategic leadership will focus on CHP and MHP system wide initiatives in utilization management, IT strategy, supply chain and other regional or corporate initiatives. Provides oversight guidance to the departmental imaging managers or supervisors to develop their leadership skills.

Activities necessary for the development of these areas include quality and financial management through the appropriate utilization of human resources, operational and capital budget control, and the marketing and promotion of services to physicians and the community.

**Essential Functions:**

Provides leadership function in the area of imaging services operations, utilization, information technology strategy, and other initiatives. Supports Divisional VP of Logistcis/Clincial Support Services and site VP of Operations to develop and implement regional and site strategic goals and objectives. Act as a liaison within site and region regarding system wide initiatives and programs. Develops positive ongoing relationships with individuals at every level of the organization including imaging services staff members, peers, nursing leadership and management, medical staff members, and key decision makers.

In consultation with designated region and site leadership, responsible for imaging service departmental operations and financial management, clinical programs management, and services as a resource of domain expertise in this area. Serves as key influencers in supply expense management, equipment and other capital planning/purchasing, the annual budget process, Information technology management within Imaging service line.

Ensures departmental compliance with all professional, local, state, federal and JCAHO standards. Is fully cognizant of all applicable rules, regulations, statutes, and practice standards including but not limited to JCAHO, AHRA, ASRT, and ODH. Evaluates services regularly and maintains standards of quality. Coordinates quality improvement activities and participates as appropriate on hospital and regional committees or process action team. Maintains self education to keep abreast of latest professional development.

Collaborates with region and site leaders to work toward standardization in the areas of hiring, orientation, training, imaging protocols, and department specific policies, in order to ensure consistency, effectiveness and efficiency within every Imaging Services department. Demonstrates exceptional skills and results in the process for identifying operational, clinical, and cost reduction opportunities, develops plans for implementation, and drives the implementation process. Strives for improving patients and physicians satisfactions. Reduces the length of stay by collaborating with key stakeholders in the critical care areas such as emergency department and ICU. Performs all other duties assigned.

**REQUIRED:**

Bachelors Degree

Minimal one Imaging modality licensure by the state of Ohio

Minimum 7 years Imaging Services management experience with proven success tracking records

Must possess computer and imaging technology, organizational, performance improvement and problem solving skills

**PREFERRED:**

Certified Radiology Administrator (CRA)

Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT)

Responsibility for multiple imaging centers in a multi-hospital system or large medical center

Holds or has held a leadership position in a professional radiology/imaging organization

Recognized as a respected leader in the profession and/or industry (through publishing, speaking, or educational presentations)
