JOB SUMMARY:
Coordinate, supervise, monitor and report the progress of the job site to the Project Manager and the direct supervision of all employees and subcontractors at the job site.
REQUIREMENTS:
Preferred Education: College degree in construction, engineering, architecture, business or related field; Minimum Education: High school diploma.
Experience: At least 5 years experience as a project superintendent.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Computer literate.
Work Schedule: Normal work hours Monday through Friday, weekends as required.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Responsible for compliance with safety policies.
- Responsible for daily reports to the Project Manager and provide progress reports as required.
- Prepare an overall construction schedule and three week look ahead schedules.
- Verify that work is progressing according to schedule.
- Responsible for keeping the job site organized and a hazard free environment.
- Responsible for training and guidance of reporting employees.
- Review shop drawings and submittals. Coordinate and verify with project plans and specifications.
- Responsible for the workmanship and quality of work performed on the job site by reporting employees and subcontractors.
- Maintain accurate and organized files at the job site.
- Maintain confidentiality of company information as directed by management.
- Schedule material, labor, equipment, subcontractors and inspections.
- Ensure that all materials and equipment are stored securely.
- Enforce company guidelines, policies and standard operating procedures at the job site.
- Attend meetings as required by management and conduct weekly onsite project progress meetings with all subcontractors.
- Install an effective back-up program to compensate for pre-arranged absences.
- Recommend any program changes to the Project Manager.
- Evaluate field personnel reporting to this position.
STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE:
- Reports are completed on time.
- Jobs are at or below budget.
- All files are accurate, up-to-date, secured and organized.
- Three week look ahead schedules are delivered on a consistent basis to subcontractors.
- Ensure that equipment is working at maximum capacity.
- Seek guidance and direction as necessary from the Project Manager or President on major issues.
- Display judgment in suitably reporting major matters or problems to the Project Manager.
- Display a positive attitude and maintain a cooperative working relationship with management, Project Manager, employees, subcontractors and clients.
- Perform all duties efficiently and with little supervision.
- Make optimal use of time during working hours and use effective time management.Additional Compensation:
