Company Description: Bonté Bakery makes gluten-free artisan bread and pizza crust without sacrificing taste. Many of our ingredients are organic and sourced as locally as possible. Bonté Bakery currently sells bread and pizza crusts to a number of Vermont vendors, as well as shipping bread to customers through our online store. There has been a high level of demand for our products and over the next several years we plan to expand our sales, increase production and add to our product line. Our new hires will be an essential part of this growing business.
General Job Description: The Baker will join the team of Assistant Bakers, Lead Baker, Operations Manager and Owners in measuring, mixing, kneading, and baking the highest quality gluten-free bread and pizza crust to supply our customers. We have a small crew and each member has a wide variety of tasks, sharing responsibility in creating delicious, gluten-free bread for everyone.
Primary Responsibilities may include:
- Weighing ingredients, mixing, shaping, and baking bread and pizza crusts.
- Assisting with the time management of the daily bake schedule.
- Assisting with ensuring quality control on bakery products.
- Maintaining a clean kitchen during and after baking.
- Packaging bakery products.
Qualifications
- Good work ethic
- Ability to work and communicate well with others
- Detail oriented
- Good time management and planning skills
- Ability to read and follow recipes
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to carry 50 lb bags of flour multiple times per day
- Prior baking experience preferred but not necessary
- Ability to share in working some weekend hours
