What are the responsibilities and job description for the Growth Marketing Manager position at Book of the Month?
Our mission is to help readers discover new books they’ll love and to promote the careers of new and emerging authors. Over the past few years, the service we built around this mission has seen rapid growth. Today, we run some of the largest and most important marketing campaigns in the book business.
We are looking for a smart, driven, analytical marketer to help us continue our growth by expanding our scale, launching new channels (including TikTok, Direct Mail, and More), targeting new audiences of readers, and increasing conversion rates. The ideal candidate has experience managing customer acquisition campaigns to performance goals – but this is not a hard requirement. Instead, we are seeking someone who is fundamentally interested in the BOTM mission, extremely analytical, and a fast and iterative learner of new things.
You will…
- Develop and execute the growth strategy for our online and offline customer acquisition channels, including TikTok, Facebook/Instagram, Adwords, Direct Mail, Email, and other relevant channels.
- Manage channels and campaigns to performance goals (CAC and its drivers) and proactively communicate results and learnings across the organization.
- Identify new growth opportunities (new channels, targeting, optimization), form hypotheses, design and implement tests, analyze results, and scale the best opportunities.
- Partner with the Creative Team and the Product Team and use a data-driven, iterative approach to implement creative and CRO optimization and testing.
- Manage and grow the performance marketing team.
Qualifications:
- 4 years experience developing customer acquisition campaigns and managing them to performance goals. (In-depth channel expertise is not required, we are happy to provide training where needed!)
- Top-notch analytical skills. You think, communicate, and execute on your ideas after thorough analysis.
- Ability to analyze, translate, and communicate data internally in a clear and succinct manner.
- You are extremely organized. You have a well thought out approach on processes for briefing, structuring, organizing, and managing digital marketing operations.
- Strong understanding of LTV, CAC, pay-back periods and how they work together.
- A love of reading and contemporary fiction!
