Responsible for interfacing with programming resources for specification (defining requirements, analysis, design), testing and QA of POS suite of applications. Responsible for deployment, move/add/changes, and operational support of POS suite of applications in an expert capacity (tier-2 support).

Roles and Responsibilities
- Perform application analysis
- Design, implement, and test applications
- Prepare technical documentation
- Troubleshoot, identify, and document bug fixes as needed with vendors
- Participate in code walkthroughs, testing, and migration
- Research existing problems and propose solutions
- Perform system and regression testing
- Perform system administration tasks and program management of a system
- Prepare user documentation and provide user training and support
- POS software support and maintenance
- POS hardware integration and testing (printers, debit terminals, etc.)
- Sales and inventory polling and maintenance
- Credit card, loyalty card, and gift card software support and maintenance
- Provide on-call tier-2 support (shared across the team)
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university with course work in information systems or a related field
- 3 years equivalent work experience with demonstrated competence.
- 10% Travel required
Preferred Skills
- Ability to create detailed specifications, with periodic support by more senior development staff
- Experience with PCI and SOX, Ingenico, SmartClixx, Aptos, POS hardware, Windows OS, Microsoft SQL, MYSQL also a plus,
- 1 to 3 years program management of POS system or related ( Celerant )
Physical and Environmental Requirements
- Must be able to sit at a computer or desk for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to use hands/arms to operate keyboard, telephone and for repetitive motion activities.
- Must be able to lift objects up to 25 lbs. with or without assistance.
