Job Description
In a leadership role at Nourish, your key areas of responsibility include:
Selling Effectiveness
- Manage to sales goals, budgets, and business objectives.
- Provide excellent service by preparing and serving food and beverages for guests, answering questions, and making product recommendations.
- Welcome customers by determining their coffee or tea interests and needs.
- Explain menu offering; prepares and serves a variety of brewed coffee and tea drinks, along with pastries and cookies.
- Ensure employees consistently execute to the GUEST Experience Model.
- Coach and reward in the moment to maximize selling potential of employees.
- Display knowledge of product through upselling and recommendations.
- Set the direction and goals for the day/shift when employees arrive for work.
- Assist with product merchandising, visual presentations, signage placement, etc. as directed.
- Achieve sales goals while meeting payroll targets through effective scheduling and appropriate floor coverage.
- Execute visual standards while maintaining a safe and inviting store appearance.
Building High Performing Teams
- Provide individual and team performance feedback and recommendations to Managers.
- Responsible for enforcing company policy, ensures a safe work environment, free of harassment or unlawful discrimination.
- Support onboarding and continued training of sales employees.
- Ensure employees receive scheduled breaks and meal periods (per state guidelines).
Operational Excellence
- Practice and enforce all mandatory food safety standards.
- Maintain presentation standards including merchandising display cases, coolers, counter areas, and fixtures to company standards.
- Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and safety standards.
- Comply with all company business standards, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain inventory and ordering duties for food and supplies as assigned.
- Act as the leader on duty, when scheduled, to address guest service, vendor or maintenance related issues.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in various food service leadership positions.
- Knowledge in coffee beverage preparation preferred.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of computers (MS Word, Excel).
- Self-disciplined, takes initiative, demonstrates leadership abilities.
- High level of stamina and ability to stand for extended length of time, with positive attitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work under pressure with work varied hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to work 8 hours on your feet at a time and carry up to 50 pounds.
Job Type: Part-time
