Cloud Infrastructure Architect, Lead
The Challenge:
Everyone is trying to “harness the power of the cloud,” but not everyone knows how. As a cloud architect, you know how to build a cloud-based technical architecture that meets customer needs and takes advantage of cloud capabilities. What if you could use your cloud architecture skills to improve DoD mission critical applications? We need you to lead our team as we develop cloud-based solutions to some of DoD's toughest challenges.
As a lead cloud architect on our team, you’ll design a secure, cloud based infrastructure to support mission critical operations, You’ll guide your team as they research the current environment and recommend tools and capabilities. You’ll share expertise with your team through leadership and mentoring, as they help the customer overcome their most difficult challenges in the cloud. Your technical expertise will be vital as you work with our customers to ensure standards are met throughout the cloud migration process. This is an opportunity to use the latest cloud technologies, as you look for ways to improve our customer’s environment using current cloud capabilities. You’ll be able to sharpen your skills in DevSecOps and platform technologies such as Kubernetes while migrating critical systems to a secure cloud environment. As a technical leader, you’ll identify new opportunities to build cloud-based solutions to help our customers meet their evolving needs. Join our team, as we transform DoD with cloud technology.

You Have:
-10 years of experience with designing and implementing information management systems for DoD projects
-5 years of experience with supporting the architecture and implementation of Cloud tenant solutions at an enterprise level
-3 years of experience with commercial cloud service providers, including Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure
-1 year of experience with engineering solutions in a Linux and Windows multi-tenant environment on commercial Cloud service providers, including Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure
-1 year of experience with defining organizational project cloud migration objectives and requirements
-TS/SCI clearance
-BS degree in CS, IT, Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics or 15+ years of experience with systems engineering in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree
-DoD Directive 8570 or 8140 Series IAT Level II Certification
Nice If You Have:
-Experience with the Atlassian tool suite, including Jira and Confluence
-Experience with Agile development techniques and ceremonies
-Experience with RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Microsoft Windows
-Knowledge of implementing US Army and DoD regulations applicable to specification, development, acquisition, and maintenance of IT systems
-Knowledge of DevSecOps and Platform as a Service (PaaS) technologies, including Kubernetes
-Ability to adapt to evolving requirements and deliver to project deadlines
-Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
