Intellectual Property Acquisition Analyst
Key Role:
Support the development and execution of DoD strategy to improve acquisition, licensing, and management of intellectual property (IP) and data rights. Provide inputs to and enable coordination of department-level IP policy. Support the development of acquisition workforce with regards to innovative approaches and strategies for addressing IP considerations. Provide advisory services to Service programs and PEOs at various points across the program life cycle.
Basic Qualifications:
-10+ years of experience with supporting Intellectual Property law, policy, regulation, data rights, IP licensing, IP negotiations, or IP dispute resolution
-Experience with multiple contracting types and approaches, including OTA, BPA, and IDIQ
-Knowledge of the DoD acquisition process and working in a DoD acquisition program, PEO, or Service or OSD-level acquisition office
-Knowledge of commercial practices regarding IP
-Knowledge of DoD contracting regulations, including the DFARS or FAR
-Secret clearance
-BA or BS degree
Additional Qualifications:
-Experience with handling IP issues as a licensed attorney
-Experience as an OSD staff action officer, including developing, coordinating, and publishing issuances and Department-level policy, managing legislative affairs, and facilitating OSD correspondence and task management
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
Clearance:
