Key Role:
Support clients by working with a collaborative team to assess software vulnerabilities for authorizing officials to determine if the risk is acceptable for use in the DoD arena. Utilize knowledge of the software lifecycle and programming to ensure security is built into software applications. Work closely with developers and information assurance engineers to ensure adequate verification and validation. Examine software applications from an adversarial perspective to qualify risks. Plans, conducts, and supervises assignments under general supervision. Reviews progress and evaluates results. Plans and assigns personnel for given projects or tasks. Recommends changes in procedures.
Basic Qualifications:
5 years of experience with Software Development
3 years of experience in the Cybersecurity and Information Assurance field
3 years of experience with Software Development in C, C , Python, Java, or JavaScript
Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems
Experience with VMware and virtual test environments
Experience with leading teams and projects
Knowledge of Static Code Analysis and performing Code Review, with and without a static code analyzer
Secret clearance
HS diploma or GED
8570 Compliant Certification
Additional Qualifications:
Experience working through the Software Development Life Cycle
Experience with operational support to the DoD
Experience with NIST 800-053 security controls
Knowledge of security vulnerabilities and industry best practice methodologies toward determining software flaws
Knowledge of web related technologies, including Web applications, Web Services, and Web Architectures, and of network and web related protocols
Ability to test software to ensure regular security-focused assessments are performed
Ability to work in a team environment
Ability to manage competing priorities
Possession of excellent time management, organizational, analytical, and technical problem-solving skills
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or related field
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $81,800.00 to $186,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.Work Model
