Software Manager

Key Role:

Provide management oversight to inventory and allocated software for portfolios and projects assigned to early design and operational prototypes of unmanned systems to fill existing mission requirements and function as force multipliers across several mission sets. Provide valuable feedback for software consolidation and maintain testing data that can be leveraged by new developmental projects to streamline spending and cost overruns. Manage the software system and system of systems (SoS) for interoperability ease and functionality. Lead or support system software management tasks on behalf of Navy or DoD program offices to support development of unmanned systems capability and integration onto U.S. Navy Assets. Coordinate and align unmanned system efforts, stakeholders, and resources required to provide comprehensive and efficient support of the Navy objectives related to integration development, testing and installation, and life cycle sustainment.

Basic Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience with DoD RMF process and software management
• Experience with System of Systems (SoS) engineering development and acquisition efforts
• Experience with leadership of diverse technical teams or working groups
• Knowledge of acquisition, program management, and test and evaluation
• Ability to articulate complex issues to senior Navy or DoD decision makers
• Secret clearance
• BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

• Experience with payload integration processes, including Submarine Rapid Fielding Temporary Alterations (RF TEMPALTS)
• Knowledge of unmanned vehicle payloads and sensors a plus
• Knowledge of major program task planning or the NAVSEA Enterprise Planning System (NEPS)
• Security+ Certification
