Technical Architect
The Challenge:
As a leader on our team, you’ll lead our architecture strategy and work with our Solution Architects to validate architectural runway and incrementally evolve capabilities in alignment with VA Enterprise Architecture, Agile Standard Operating Framework (ASOF), and VA Product Line Architecture (PLA) Guidelines. You will also lead delivery of products to advance our objective of creating scalable and self-sustaining PTs. This is an opportunity to use the latest cloud technologies as you look for ways to improve your client’s environment using cloud capabilities. Your technical expertise will be vital as you work with our VA client to inform strategy and design and ensure standards are met throughout the cloud migration process. You’ll recommend tools and solutions based on your research of the environment and knowledge of various on premise, cloud based, and hybrid resources. You’ll use your experience to guide your team as they help the client overcome their most difficult challenges in the cloud. This position is open to remote delivery anywhere within the U.S., to include the District of Columbia.

You Have:
- 8 years of experience with software or system design
- Experience leading architecture for large engagements including both legacy and cloud system deployments
- Experience with End-End cloud solution architecture, design, and deployment
- Experience with authentication, authorization, and identity management
- Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture patterns and standards
- Ability to engage senior business and technical decision makers
- Ability to understand and translate business and end user requirements, and explain complex technical solutions in a succinct manner
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
- Bachelor's degree, or 12 years of experience with software or system design in lieu of degree
Nice If You Have:
- Experience with standards for open systems architectures, OSI and ISO reference models, and profiles of standards
- Experience with Federal Government regulations, compliance, and system authorization
- Experience working in agile development scenarios
- Experience with data migration or modelling
- Experience with FedRAMP or TIC 2.2/3.0
- Knowledge of networking and routing technologies
- Knowledge of API and other integration technologies and standards
- Cloud platform certifications in Azure, AWS, or LCNC Platforms

The salary for this position will be determined based on various factors. The proposed salary range for this position in Colorado is $135,000 to $180,000
