What are the responsibilities and job description for the Vacation Relief position at Borden?
The Vacation Relief will perform shipping operation duties to cover team members while on vacation. Will ensure that quality products are packaged, prepared, and loaded for delivery to customers in a safe manner.
Responsibilities:
- Relieves any worker in the shipping area during scheduled break and/or vacation period.
- Maintain reliable attendance and consistent work hours.
- Must be willing to operate all equipment need to perform the job duties.
- Prepare paperwork for the oncoming shift.
- Complete all required documentation and schedule product checks.
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work area.
- Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Follow all safety and security policies and procedures.
- Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Follow all food safety and quality system requirements by committing to meet all pertinent regulatory, customer, and Safe Quality Foods (SQF) requirements.
- Any other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Previous refrigerated warehouse and shipping experience.
- Yard mule and forklift experience preferred.
- Ability to read, write, perform basic mathematical calculations, and accurately record data.
- Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts, as required.
Physical Demand/Working Conditions:
- Must be able to frequently stand, walk, kneel, reach, climb, pull, and bend.
- Must be able to routinely lift and/or move up to 50 lbs, and occasionally 75 lbs.
- Must be able to work for extended periods in a cold, damp environment.
