This position will be located in: Brooklyn Park , MN
This comprehensive 18-24-month development program that includes a combination of meaningful assignments in high-impact roles and coaching/mentoring from area operations team. Provides onboarding, training, and special project support in key job functions within designated area. Helps the branches in the area to accurately and efficiently deliver Service Excellence to customers and promotes a safe working environment. After successful completion of the program, the trainee will be qualified to advance into a variety of positions within the area.
Essential Functions
- Completes a 2-year program focused on work life experiences, coaching and foundational educational courses.
- Completes extensive training in operational functions including, but not limited to, warehouse, city desk, and CSR positions.
- Enhance product and industry knowledge through self-guided online and hands-on training.
- Introduction to BSE customers through sales and customer work life experiences
- Opportunity to gain work life experiences in various Border States locations.
- Participates in an extensive coaching and assessment-feedback system.
- Supports the employees within the City Desk, Office Administration, Inside Sales, Quotations, and Warehouse/Logistics areas through onboarding, training, and special project support.
- Supports the business process owner with training and follow-up on best practices as needed within the area.
- Supports the efforts of the Regional Operations in regard to new or enhanced technology as it relates to Warehouse/Logistics and Sales Order Management areas of the operations team, with both implementation and training.
- Maintains adequate knowledge of both the warehouse and sales side of the business.
Non-essential Functions
- Participates in additional project-based work life experiences.
- May support branches in the area by working in the warehouse or city desk area when a branch is short of staff or working on a large project.
- May support branches outside of the region on projects that require additional assistance.
- Supports specific regional initiatives as needed, which may include areas such as cycle counting, wire organization and batching, customer price book maintenance and development, etc.
- Other duties as assigned by manager.
- Requires a valid driver's license.
- Active logistics professional with minimum of 6 months experience with Border States
- Requires the ability to read, write, and speak in English.
- Working knowledge of PC for Windows, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), Internet, Email and SAP software.
- Excellent customer service skills include being competent, accurate, responsive, and engaged.
- Willingness to travel and work in assigned BSE locations during the program.
- Willingness to relocate with assistance to assigned BSE area location after completion of the program.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication, reading, and customer service skills are preferred with the ability to effectively plan and organize.
