Job purpose BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for “dynamic, results driven” individual to join as an eMotor Project Test Lead. The eMotor Project Test Lead will be responsible to manage all test related aspects of eMotor development. They will be the direct customer contact for test related discussion, develop comprehensive test plans and oversee the successful completion of all test plans, on-time and within budget. Key responsibilities Lead all aspects of test related activities for BorgWarner eMotor development to demonstrate compliance to customer requirements. Negotiate requirements and timing as required. Be the central customer contact for all test related activities. Align cross-functional team members to develop and manage comprehensive test plans with both customer and internal stake holders. This includes definition and adherence to test procedures, location, timing, and budget. Responsible for the correct definition, prioritization and successful completion of all testing, on-time and within budget, at both internal and external test labs. Allocate customer requirements and monitor project work of the functional test and validation test teams. Develop / implement recovery and mitigation plans as required to meet project objectives. Coordinate motor controls, test development, test technology and test execution teams to support necessary testing. Lead the team to resolve test related issues. Review & approve data to generate test reports to confirm compliance to requirements. What we’re looking for BS in Engineering or related science discipline required. MS degree in electrical engineering or related preferred. Minimum 5 years of High Voltage motors/ inverters and other Vehicle Electrification components products required, 8 years is preferred Strong leadership and experience managing cross-functional teams strongly preferred. Experience in integrating, troubleshooting, and commissioning inverters, controls, or rotating electric machines (electric motors) strongly preferred. Knowledge of machines or motors and related control concepts for electric and hybrid electric vehicle drive systems, including Field Oriented Vector Control and Space Vector Modulation techniques preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English required. Ability to routinely work in a hands-on manner required. Ability to work flexible hours to support multi-shift operation if necessary. Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 10%. Ability to work under limited supervision. Must be highly aware and adhere to high voltage safety standards and procedures.
