Technician is responsible for set up and operation of machinery. To achieve customer requirements and to ensure quality of workmanship of products is produced within the department by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Follow work instructions for proper manufacturing of steering gear components and maintain proper productivity output and targets
- Must ensure continuous material flow through processes
- Must perform technical manufacturing changeovers on a regular basis and meet set performance times.
- Must perform technical adjustments to maintain quality standards of product
- Must be able to perform TPM for manufacturing machines
- Must have basic computer skills and ability to support a data-collection system
- Must be able to perform and document all required control plan and/or quality checks at assigned work stations using computerized measuring instruments.
- Should be able to read and understand prints to be able to ensure quality of product.
- Must be able to handle gib cranes
- Follow all procedures for material identification, traceability and handling of non-conforming product
- Maintain 5S standards for all work stations and surrounding areas
- Comply with company policies and procedures.
- Comply with all environmental, health and safety policies
- Elevate safety, quality and productivity problems or issues to appropriate personnel

High School Diploma or GED
2-4 Year Manufacturing experience – experience must include production or assembly experience
Machining Experience preferred
