Job Description
We are currently offering an opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join us as an Area Sales Manager in August 2022. The role will be a home office position based in Brisbane, with the key customer areas in Brisbane and outlying areas, including Central and North Queensland regions. Due to the high volume of local travel required, the role includes the use of a Tool of Trade vehicle.
Position responsibilities will include:
- Developing, maintaining and executing territory plans to achieve sales and profit targets, maximising potential, and growing market share
- Planning and relationship management for customer base
- Exploring and developing new business opportunities
- Promoting product releases and promotional activities to build brand awareness
- Reporting on market trends, activities and competitor information
- Providing timely and accurate sales forecasts and developing initiatives to close gaps or optimize new opportunities
- Attendance at Trade events, store openings and required training
Qualifications
We are looking for a highly motivated, self-starting sales professional, excited by the Power Tools/Trades industry, to drive growth and profitability in our QLD region.
You should be able to demonstrate the following:
- A high level of market, competitor and product knowledge
- Experience using CRM programs
- Web based reporting using Tableau or similar tool
- Proficient in MS Office and MS Teams
- The ability to uphold and execute all Sales Excellence processes and standards
- Proven sales experience and success
- Planning, negotiation, and presentation skills
- High attention to detail and self-discipline
- Power tools / hardware / trade experience is desirable
- Exposure to the Construction industry is advantageous
- Stakeholder engagement and business acumen is highly regarded
- Regular state-based travel and occasional interstate / international travel
