Job Summary
Bosque Systems, LLC is a growing provider of cost-effective, custom water treatment systems for natural gas and oil well operators in need of flowback and produced water management solutions. Bosque’s proven technology and service capability has provided its customers successful implementations of turnkey water disposal, treatment and reuse systems across multiple shale plays, allowing producers to dispose of or reuse the hydraulic fracking fluid used to safely recover natural gas and oil from deep shale formations. The E-Technician role provides mechanical support across multiple divisions in support of operational needs.
Primary Job Duties
Ensure a safe work environment and always use appropriate PPE.- Strives for optimum performance and reliability of assigned staff and equipment.
- Extensive working knowledge of electronic technologies that operate frac ready equipment including data vans, pressure pumping equipment, winch trucks and current market pumps.
- Supervises and performs all types of repair work and preventive maintenance on frac pumps, power generators, diesel engines, vehicles, trailer maintenance and parts associated with these items.
- Performs cost analysis and provides options on equipment repair and maintenance.
- Delegates maintenance mechanic tasks and responsibilities.
- Manages fleet vehicles and equipment, working with the DOT Administrator to ensure compliance with DOT requirements.
Scope and Accountabilities
- Knowledge of safety rules and practices.
- Will be responsible for ensuring that the fleet and other equipment functions properly and will lead various strategies to diagnose the source and the extent of the problem.
- Examines, analyzes, and troubleshoots equipment for defects in operation.
- Plans and sources vehicles and equipment for planned jobs.
- Works closely with purchasing team to properly complete PRs required for anticipated costs.
- Ensures all required permits are obtained prior to starting a job.
- Ability to follow written or spoken work instructions in English.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Must be able to assume responsibility and perform duties and handle multiple tasks under potentially stressful and/or hazardous conditions.
- Experience and working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to make decisions and corrections when problems are detected.
Required Competencies / Prerequisites
- 3 – 5 years of experience leading a team of maintenance technicians in a pressure pumping environment.
- Provide copies of certification(s) in both diesel and gas engine mechanics.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints as well and troubleshoot and diagnose electrical systems AC and DC.
- Must be able to meet and continue to meet any Company or client-required training standards.
- Must be able to work overtime in 24/7 environment in order to respond to emergency call-outs as needed.
- Pass a drug test and background check.
- MUST be 21 years old, have a valid driver’s license and meet the MVR requirements of our motor vehicle insurance carrier.
- Will be subject to drug and alcohol testing requirements.
Preferred Competencies
- 5 – 7 years of experience in a pressure pumping maintenance technician shop.
- Associate degree or higher in a field related to diesel mechanics.
Physical Requirements

- Works indoors and outdoors, in and around mechanical, industrial, and electrical equipment.
- Required to climb about equipment and work in confined areas.
- Works in temperature extremes due to weather conditions and operating equipment.
- Wears safety equipment as required.
- Uses physical force to lift, push, pull and hold equipment and tools.
- Climbs and works at various heights and may work in a standing, sitting, lying down, crouching alarms and instructions, and is required to visually inspect work.
- May work in confined spaces (i.e., tanks, between compressors, vessels).
- Must be able to regularly bend, stoop, move from ground level to higher levels, raise/lift from ground level a load up to 50 lbs., manually transport a load up to 80 lbs. and apply up to 200-foot pounds of torque.
- Must have the ability to get in and out of vehicles regularly and ride over rough roads.
- Must have the ability to drive and/or ride long distances to job locations.

Education and Experience
High School Diploma - or the equivalent (for example, GED)

- Operation and Control- Controlling operations of equipment or systems.
- Operation Monitoring- Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
- Quality Control Analysis- Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
- Repairing- Complex repairing of machines or systems using the needed tools.
- Troubleshooting- Determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it.
