Graphic Design Specialist: This posting is for a full-time, 12-month, unclassified, staff position. Salary commensurate with credentials and experience.
Job Summary
The Graphic Design Specialist will assist the Marketing & Brand Manager to develop materials, collateral, and content to promote the College’s Brand and offerings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Arts, Design, Marketing, or related field from an accredited four-year college or university.
- Five (5) years of professional experience in Graphic Design, Marketing Specialist, or related role.
- High competency with Adobe Creative Suite, Google Office Suite, Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software
- Knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography, print, and the web.
- Compelling portfolio of work over a wide range of creative projects.
- Excellent eye for detail and visual composition.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Able to work independently and in a team setting
- Detail-oriented and self-motivated with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Solid knowledge and understanding of organizing and planning to yield efficient workflow
- Strong writing skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Video editing
- Website editing
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with maintenance of inventory of branded items for internal and external use.
- Assist in the development and creation of collateral and materials to support the brand image including brochures, flyers, ads, and digital content.
- Assists in the creation of digital content for website, press releases, social media, digital ads, etc.
- Collaborates with Marketing & Brand Manager to understand the branding, tone, and intended audience for all content.
- Stay up to date with digital media developments and best practices.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have use of sensory skills in order to effectively communicate and interact with other employees and the public through the use of the telephone and personal contact as normally defined by the ability to see, read, talk, hear and handle or feel objects and controls.
- Must have physical capability to effectively use and operate various items of office equipment such as, but not limited to, personal computer, calculator, copier, and fax machine.
- Ability to occasionally lift or carry up to 10 pounds.
- Must be capable of sitting in stationary position for 50% or more of time.
