• Candidate must possess two or more years experience in family law (divorce, custody and child support)
• Candidate must demonstrate competency and commitment to practice family law
• Candidate must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, other firm attorneys, support staff, and outside professionals
• Candidate must be reliable, able to work independently, take initiative as well as being a team player
• Candidate must be able to write proficiently and draft legal documents with attention to detail
• Candidate must be emotionally intelligent with a compassionate temperament
• Candidate must demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate with clients and have comradery with colleagues
• Candidate must have strong litigation skills with the ability to negotiate and resolve matters ethically and professionally
• Candidate must have a willingness to hone in on his or her skills and commitment to continually improve, and stay well versed in local, state statues and case law.
• Candidate must be able to lead support staff by effective communication and leadership skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide client representation and legal counsel for family law issues
• Provide effective and practical advice to clients consistent with their legal issues
• Deliver effective written skills, legal research and analysis in pleadings, motions, memoranda, and other written documents.
• Manage caseload from start to completion
• Deliver effective, clear and empathetic communication to all clients

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $57,000.00 per year

• 8 hour shift

License/Certification:

• Tennessee Bar license (Required)
