What are the responsibilities and job description for the Learning Experience Design Manager position at Boston Dynamics?

As Manager, Learning Experience Design at Boston Dynamics, you will work as part of our Customer Learning & Development team to design and implement cohesive learning solutions that drive learning engagement and outcomes. You will apply techniques and technology that promote highly engaging, impactful learning experiences for multiple media formats that can be delivered across customer touchpoints in an end-to-end learning experience.

As the strategic owner of our Learning Management System (LMS), you and a small team will be responsible for building scalable, learner centric solutions that can be delivered on a global scale just-in-time. You will be responsible for the administrative implementation and management of our LMS, including the development of a robust reporting strategy that will provide insight, inform content development decisions, and drive continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast paced, technical environment, and is well versed managing multiple projects with many stakeholders. You have experience in instructional design, adult learning theory, learning technologies, and the development of programmatic learning strategies. You are experienced in the documentation of structured plans that outline communications, media assets, and initiatives designed to launch, support and sustain learning programs.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop learner-centered materials and activities that align with learning outcomes, apply adult learning principles, and inform learner progress and success in online or hybrid learning environments, with a focus on certification programs.
  • Use appropriate tools and delivery methods to produce blended learning materials promoting learning through self-study, practice, performance support, socialization and knowledge-sharing as part of certification programs.
  • Conduct needs analysis to design and develop bar-raising, accessible, scalable learning solutions for multiple modalities and a global audience.
  • Pursue a deep understanding of multiple learner roles supporting multiple operational programs to ensure learning solutions meet the needs of the business and learners.
  • Develop a reporting strategy that measures impact and and outcomes

Qualifications

  • 3 years direct experience using eLearning authoring tools to build learning experiences that include assessments, interactive activities, animated videos, graphics and images, and text-based content. (Articulate Studio/Storyline/Rise, Captivate, Camtasia, Adobe Creative Suite,)
  • Experience serving as the strategic owner and operator of an LMS in a large or complex environment, Docebo strongly preferred
  • Ability to comprehend complex technical matters and communicate key information to a non-technical audience, including leadership and end-users, in a clear and understandable way
  • Ability to collaborate, build relationships, and drive alignment at various levels as well as with external vendors
  • Exceptional organization and project management skills to drive cross-functional projects through completion
  • Proficiency with Workday HRIS and Tableau are a bonus
