About the role:
Boston Scientific’s Cardiology Finance and Accounting Group has a unique opportunity for an Accounting Manager. In this role you will be engaged in daily business management, providing meaningful action and insight to fuel the growth of the division. As an Accounting Manager, you will spend time advising on technical accounting and supervise general ledger accounting activities. You will be a trusted finance leader helping to drive business decisions and strategic planning.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing technical accounting expertise on topics such as revenue recognition and reserves; participating in research, implementation, and monitoring activities
- Establishing and communicating accounting policies by maintaining a thorough understanding of GAAP and new accounting guidance
- Driving critical accounting processes across divisional franchises groups with a focus on revenue and finished goods inventory
- Partnering with functional heads/project leads to provide financial insight to drive business decisions
- Compiling and analyzing financial information through preparation of reports, general ledger entries, and account recs
- Performing month-end close processes
- Maintaining internal control environment and assisting with regular SOX documentation and testing requirements
- Supporting internal and external audits
- Taking an active interest in seeking opportunities for continuous improvement and standardizing processes
- Provide direct leadership and coaching to Accounting team
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Active CPA license
- 5 years of progressive experience with a public accounting firm, or combined experience with a large, complex multi-national company
- ASC 606 Revenue Recognition experience
- Detail oriented, self-starter, strong integrity, team player
- Highly developed customer relationship and communication skills
- Inquisitive and takes an active interest in opportunities to improve the efficiency of work
- Proficiency in Microsoft office applications; SAP and Hyperion experience a plus
