Basic Description:
We seek dynamic, engaging, motivated male and female servers to create stellar guest experiences. We provide upscale menu items, expertly prepared, and a full array of bar offerings. The pace is fast, and high levels of quality and consistency, combined with extreme hospitality are expected. Positive guest interaction and enthusiastic representation of The Gilmore Collection is critical. Our servers are key in promoting our style, our quality, and our reputation of hospitality.
Essential Functions:
1. Warmly greets and acknowledges guests upon arrival.
2. Effectively merchandises food and beverage menus in an informative, friendly and enthusiastic manner.
3. Polishes all silverware and glassware used for service.
4. Accurately takes guest orders.
5. Cleans, stocks, and maintains the workstations through out shift.
6. Follows all safety and sanitation policies.
7. Correctly and precisely calculates each guest check.
8. Accurately performs all cash handling and accounting procedures.
9. Performs additional responsibilities, although not detailed, as requested by a manager at anytime.
Qualifications Knowledge
1. High school diploma and prior experience in a restaurant.
2. Basic math skills.
3. Understanding of federal, state, and local liquor laws.
4. Working Knowledge of Michigan Food Law
Skills/Aptitudes
1. English language and professional communications skills are required.
2. Ability to take direction and to work in a team environment.
3. The ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure.
4. Must have problem solving abilities, be self-motivated, and organized.
5. Commitment to quality service, and food and beverage knowledge.
Working Conditions
1. This position will spend 98% of the time standing.
2. This position will spend 2% of the time sitting.
3. Occasional environmental exposures to cold, heat, and water.
4. The individual must be able to transport up to 50 pounds on occasion and up to 35 pounds regularly.
5. Must be able to hear with 100% accuracy with correction.
6. Must be able to see to 20/20 vision with correction.

Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 per hour
