Description
Parts Managers are responsible for the overall performance of the parts & accessory department at their OneWater store. They are passionate about delighting internal and external customers and achieving or exceeding their volume, inventory and profit goals through effective management of the parts & accessories department. The position is non-exempt.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintains a neat and orderly parts department, with accessories and supplies neatly merchandised to present a professional appearance and increase sales
- Executes successful parts, boating accessories, warranty and return processes and effectively trains parts assistants
- Establish and maintain parts and accessory order process that achieves department goals for margins, fulfillment rates to the service team and inventory turns
- Ensures accuracy of inventory, controls shrinkage and obsolescence
- Builds and maintains positive customer and manufacturer relationships to strengthen customer loyalty, reduce order times and enhance dealer reputation
- Resolves customer complaints or concerns in a timely manner and always looks for ways to better serve our customers
- Maintains a clean, safe and environmentally friendly parts operation
- Ensures that the parts team effectively communicates with customers & service team on a timely basis, keeping them proactively informed of the status of their order
- Supports General Manager in the execution of successful boat shows, store and off-site sales/customer events, including off site accessory sales as appropriate
