Job Overview: The IT Infrastructure and Engineering group provides a high-performance compute environment crucial for product and solutions development within our engineering community. This includes managing HPC environments both on-premises and in the cloud, utilizing Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools, and developing customized software tools and workflows that are integral to our engineers' daily operations.
Responsibilities: In this role, you will collaborate closely with technical leads, managers, and engineering teams across Infrastructure and Engineering. Your responsibilities will include leading automated project solutions, managing daily ticket systems for technical issues, and contributing to high-visibility projects aimed at enhancing service security, resilience, and technology innovation.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Experience: 4-8 years
- Education: Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- RedHat Skills: Strong proficiency, preferably with RH Certification
- Cloud Operations: Experience with AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure
- Software Development Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile, Automation, Jira, and Confluence
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Linux OS fundamentals, troubleshooting, and performance tuning
- Strong understanding of HPC infrastructure, applications, and workload management tools like IBM Spectrum LSF
- Expertise in scripting languages (Bash, Shell, Python, Perl, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Google Cloud)
- Knowledge of infrastructure and application monitoring tools, and alerting systems
- Familiarity with remote display and interactive technologies such as ETX
- Skills in Vulnerability Management and security patching in dynamic environments
- Proven ability to automate repetitive tasks
- Experience working in distributed teams and multi-geography engineering environments
- Providing technical support to engineering user communities
Nice To Have Skills and Experience:
- Experience with Terraform, Ansible, Artifactory, and/or Continuous Integration (CI) applications
- Knowledge of HPC applications like Flex-based Licenses and EDA tools
