Responsibilities would include cleaning tenant’s apartments and common areas. Person must by hardworking, trustworthy and enjoy working with the elderly. Position is eligible for benefits.

Job Description

Primary Purpose of Job

The maintenance of a clean, attractive, sanitary, and infection-free building.

Essential Job Functions

Responsible to perform the following according to Boulder Estates’ facility standards, procedures and individualized tenant care plans.

A. Housekeeping:

  • Cleaning: cleans tenants’ apartments, public areas, and work areas

B. Resident Care:

  • Accommodates tenants’ needs through responding appropriately to tenants’ verbal/nonverbal expressions of needs

C. Resident Rights:

  • Property: safeguards tenants’ property
  • Living Areas: keeps tenants’ living areas pleasant and orderly
  • Dignity / Privacy / Confidentiality: maintains tenants’ self-esteem, privacy and confidentiality of personal information
  • Independence / Choice: provides tenants with opportunities for independence and choice
  • Advocacy: assures tenant rights are protected and that all tenants, families/ significant others are made aware of tenants rights

D. Communication:

  • Document: documents work completed
  • Tenant Status: observes and reports tenants’ conditions to appropriate staff
  • Cooperation: works with team members and other staff members in a helpful, respectful and courteous manner
  • Socialization: assists tenant in meeting their social needs through interaction with staff, family and other tenants
  • Customer Service: responds appropriately to tenants’ requests for help and maintains positive relationships with tenants’ friends and family members

E. Safety: maintains safe work practices and follows facility safety procedures

F. Infection Control: follows facility infection control procedures

G. Other Basic Responsibilities:

  • Attendance: arrives on time for work and is ready to perform assigned tasks
  • Personal Hygiene / Appearance: meets facility hygiene and appearance standards
  • Time Management: prioritizes and completes work assignments within reasonable agreed- upon timeframes
  • Conduct / Policies / Procedures: follows facility conduct standards and policies and procedures performing all work alcohol and drug-free
  • In-Service Training / Meetings: meets requirements for in-service training and meeting attendance per facility policy and state and federal requirements
  • Continuous Quality Improvement: actively participates and works to identify and improve quality and work outcomes individually and as part of a team
  • Technology Skills: seeks to learn and utilize appropriate equipment and trends in technology

H. Other:

  • Maintenance reports maintenance issues to appropriate staff
  • Gratuities never accepts cash, gifts, personal items, etc. without approval of Management
  • No Soliciting no soliciting or working for tenants after scheduled hours for pay
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Minimum Hiring Requirements

Following are the minimum requirements to be hired into this job:

  • Knowledge: basic ability to communicate and comprehend; ability to measure and comprehend certain quantities
  • Prior Experience: prior work experience may not be required to be hired into this job
  • Special Abilities / Training: ability to meet the physical and mental abilities of the job (Reasonable accommodation for qualified disabilities will be considered by the employer on an individual basis as provided under the American Disabilities Act.) ability to meet conditions of employment applicable to the facility

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
