We currently have clinics located in Boulder (2 locations), Louisville, Longmont, and Erie.
Summary:
Boulder Medical Center is looking for a full-time Director of People and Culture to lead our People and Culture initiatives in an exciting time of growth and development for our physician owned medical group! We are seeking a data driven individual who possesses a collaborative mindset to partner with Senior Leadership, management and the Human Resources team to proactively identify, evaluate and direct People and Culture initiatives and processes for Boulder Medical Center.

Job Duties:
- Defines and implements People and Culture strategy in alignment with the goals and objectives of the BMC Board of Directors, and the CEO. Advises the CEO and physician owners on a variety of matters from an HR perspective as requested.
- Serves as a strategic partner to leadership and management, advising on a variety of complex professional people initiatives such as employee relations, strategic planning, compensation and benefits, leadership development, training, and recruitment.
- Interprets HR data, identify organizational trends, develop KPIs, and advise leaders on use of data in measuring progress toward goals and objectives
- Prepares annual department budget and manages all expenses, including FTE’s accordingly, ensuring operational budget is maintained.
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of employment laws reducing legal risks. Ensures compliance with state, federal, and company policies, procedures, and regulations (e.g., FLSA, FMLA, EEO, ADA, and Title VII). Partners with legal counsel as necessary.
- Develops and facilitates education and leadership training for supervisors and physician leadership.
- Oversees the development, maintenance, and interpretation of human resources policies, procedures, and rules to managers and employees and ensures legal compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations
- Conducts investigations and maintains strict confidentiality to the extent practicable.
- Supervises all HR staff - Manages and directs the activities of these positions ensuring the job duties are being accomplished in an accurate, efficient, timely and consistent manner. Establishes priorities for each position, delegating appropriate assignments, reviewing progress and providing coaching and feedback.
- Trains new supervisors and managers on all applicable People and Culture processes for hiring, terminations, performance management and leaves of absence. Ensures new leaders have the tools and information needed to partner effectively with HR and lead their teams with confidence.
- Acts as Plan Administrator for all employee benefit programs except the 401K plan. Participates and assists in the annual review of all benefit plans. Recommends plan design changes if necessary. Coordinates with the Chief Financial Officer in relaying all new entries or changes for 401K plan.
- Plans and directs the annual benefit Open Enrollment process each calendar year. Collects enrollment information and ensures that all benefit elections are correctly entered into the HRIS and carrier computer systems.
- Participates in the planning and coordination of associate recognition and engagement events and activities. Manages a team of company volunteers called the “Employee Engagement Committee” with an associated annual budget for company social functions
- Coordinates the People’s Committee and facilitates their relevant initiatives and events.
- Participates in the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee and actively supports DEI initiatives.
Experience and Skills:
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or equivalent.
- Master’s Degree in Business Administration or Human Resources preferred.
- SPHR and/or SHRM-SCP certification strongly preferred.
Previous Experience:
- Ten (10) or more years of progressive experience in Human Resources Management or related field.
- 1-2 years of previous experience providing HR support in a clinical setting, preferred.
Salary Range:
- $112,000 - $150,000 per year depending on experience.
