BOULDER OIL NOW HIRING Delivery Drivers of home heating Propane/Kerosene/Fuel Oil for daily delivery routes. A Delivery Driver, is responsible for transporting fuel oil and propane to residential, commercial, and industrial locations. Their main job is to safely deliver fuel oil and propane to customers according to scheduled routes and customer requests. All drivers must have a CDL-B license with hazmat/tank endorsement. Must be able to drive manual transmission. Must have two years plus experience driving. Delivery Operations: Load fuel oil and propane onto the delivery truck from a supply point, ensuring that the truck is properly loaded and secured. Follow established delivery routes and schedules to ensure timely and accurate deliveries. Use navigation systems or maps to determine the most efficient route. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures to prevent accidents, spills, and other hazards during transportation and delivery. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the delivery truck, checking for any mechanical issues or safety concerns. Maintain a clean and organized truck. Customer Service: Interact with customers in a professional and friendly manner during fuel oil and propane deliveries. Provide excellent customer service by addressing any questions or concerns they may have. Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and requests professionally and promptly. Documentation and Recordkeeping: Accurately complete delivery tickets, invoices, and other necessary paperwork for each delivery. Record the amount of fuel oil or propane delivered, the customer's name and address, and any additional information required by the company. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, fuel consumption, and mileage. Equipment Maintenance: Perform basic maintenance tasks on the delivery truck, such as checking tire pressure, fluid levels, and lights. Report any mechanical issues or vehicle malfunctions to the appropriate supervisor or maintenance personnel. Ensure that the delivery truck is kept clean and presentable. Compliance with Regulations: Follow all applicable federal, state, and local regulations related to the transportation and delivery of fuel oil and propane. This may include adherence to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, hazardous materials handling protocols, and any specific industry guidelines. Emergency Response: Be prepared to handle emergency situations such as spills, leaks, or accidents during fuel oil and propane deliveries. Follow established emergency response protocols, including notifying the appropriate authorities, company supervisors, and emergency services as necessary. Physical Requirements: Fuel Oil Propane Delivery Drivers often need to handle heavy equipment and supplies, requiring physical strength and stamina. They may be required to lift heavy hoses, maneuver fuel tanks, and operate pumping equipment.
