What are the responsibilities and job description for the Yoga Instructor position at Bouldering Project?
Yoga Instructors at Bouldering Project are responsible for programming and facilitating BP’s group yoga classes. Instructors must be able to teach fun, inspiring, inclusive and intentional classes that focus on movement, breath, body, and mind. You will be instructing groups between 5 - 50 people at a time to provide BP’s members and guests with a high quality yoga experience.

\n- Creative Movement - create thoughtful and safe sequencing consistent with BP’s class offerings Power Flow, Slow Flow, BP Yoga Sculpt, Restore.
- Effective Communication - teach dynamic, sweaty, fun and inspiring yoga classes.
- Inclusivity & Community - welcome all participants, cultivate community, and provide options for all fitness levels and abilities (regardless of class title)
- Demonstrate and clearly cue yoga poses when necessary
- Offer hands-on assists in a physically and emotionally safe way and only with consent to improve the quality of member and guest experience
- Interact with students, answer questions, introduce/orient new students, generate and maintain a positive yoga experience
- Be professional - show up early and prepare for all yoga classes. This includes starting and finishing classes on time
- Maintain the cleanliness of the studio space and yoga props
- Value teamwork - find a sub to cover your class in the event you are not able to teach.
- Be available to help by subbing for other BP yoga instructors
- Respond appropriately to any emergency situations that may arise
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Attend mandatory team meetings and continuing education trainings
- Check-students into class before the start of the class, ensure class headcount is correct
- Teach a minimum of two permanent classes per week on the regular yoga fitness class schedule
- Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Instructor 200-hour level or higher
- Minimum of 1 year experience teaching yoga classes
- 2 years experience teaching yoga classes
- RYT 200 or higher (ERYT200, RYT500, ERYT500)
