Busser

Hey there!

We are searching for passionate Bussers at Boulton & Watt in the East Village. We've been offering cocktails, beer, and classic American fare for ten years, and are seeking someone looking to grow with our company and bring meaningful contributions to both our service and operations.  

The Busser will attend to guests and assist the Floor Team. This person will ensure food and beverage service runs smoothly and that guests have pleasurable dining experiences.  

Key Focus 

• Responsible for aiding the Servers in greeting guests with water
• Making sure tables are properly maintained
• Cleaning and resetting tables in a timely manner
• Restocking the restaurant with clean plates, silverware, and glassware
• Responsible for assisting the staff in setting up/closing down the restaurant  

Personnel: 

• Ensure compliance with occupational, health, and safety standards. 
• Participate in restaurant service and team training sessions.  
• Ensure consistent communication with staff members, management, and the kitchen during service. 
• Demonstrate ability to aid co-workers during service while successfully maintaining responsibilities. 

Guest Service 

• Ensures all guests consistently receive courteous and efficient service. 
• Responds positively and promptly to customer concerns and complaints.  
• Maintain a welcoming and orderly restaurant environment. 
• Builds relationships with repeat guests. 
• Completes side work according to the schedule. 
• Ensures consistent execution of company policies and procedures including recently created and evolving COVID guidelines 

Service Standards 

• Act as part of the team to maintain the high standards of cleanliness and appearance throughout all areas of the restaurant both before, during and after service. 
• Reliably complete all assigned side work. 
• Follow all company policies and procedures including recently created and evolving COVID guidelines. 
• Demonstrate knowledge of Department of Health (DOH) standards. 

Physical Demands  

• The physical demands for this position are seeing, hearing, speaking, reaching, frequently lifting up to 25 pounds, occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for long periods, bending, and moving intermittently during working hours.
