Responsibilities:
- Install various types of fencing, including chain link, wood, vinyl, and aluminum, according to client specifications and company guidelines.
- Prepare worksites by ensuring the area is clear and making necessary adjustments to the terrain.
- Measure and mark the placement of fence posts, ensuring accuracy and alignment.
- Dig holes for fence posts using hand tools or powered equipment, such as augers or post hole diggers.
- Set fence posts securely in the ground, ensuring proper depth and alignment.
- Assemble fence panels and attach them to the posts, ensuring proper spacing and alignment.
- Cut and shape fencing materials as needed to fit the layout of the site.
- Install gates, hinges, and other necessary hardware components.
- Secure fences in place by attaching tension wire, clips, or other fasteners.
- Ensure the completion of fencing projects within specified timeframes, meeting quality standards.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition and report any maintenance or repair needs.
- Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in fence installation or related field is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of different fencing materials, tools, and techniques used in installation.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and project plans.
- Strong physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Proficient in using hand tools and power equipment relevant to fence installation.
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure accurate measurements and alignment.
- Strong problem-solving skills to overcome challenges during installation.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team, depending on the project requirements.
- Effective communication skills to interact with clients and other team members.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel to different job sites.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques or products related to fence installation.
