LEAD LAUNDRY ROOM ATTENDANT

What would I be doing?

The Lead Laundry Room Attendant is responsible for providing superior service to both the internal and external customer.  The position is also responsible for monitoring and maintaining laundry production on assigned shift, ensuring achievement of optimum production levels as established by HousekeepingSupervisor.  Responsible for training laundry/dry cleaning staff according to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Provides superior customer service, positively effects interactions with customers and employees, and has the resiliency to deal with difficult customers in all types of business conditions and the ability to work harmoniously with coworkers. 
• Responsible for the quality and quantity of work, ensuring par levels are met.
• Trains Laundry Attendants, ensuring proper usage and operation of equipment, and proper usage, handling and disposal of all necessary chemicals according to safety standards.
• Monitors all equipment to ensure equipment is operating in a safe and efficient manner; reports any discrepancies to Housekeeping Supervisor.
• Performs duties of Laundry Attendant.
• Assist with coaching and progressive disciplinary actions.
• Perform annual evaluations on Laundry Attendants.
• Prepares schedules, and completes all payroll duties.

What are we looking for?

• Familiarity with tunnel washer operation preferred.
• Knowledge of all chemicals used in laundry/dry cleaning facilities, including handling and disposal.

The skills necessary of this position are typically acquired through one-year laundry/dry cleaning experience.
